Our first Australian gig

We played the Espy last night, good times had by all.  Thanks to The Beautiful Burn for inviting us to play, it was great to finally play again after so long.  It's been almost 1.5 years after all.  New songs seemed to go down well.

We're heading into Sing Sing to record a few new tunes on July 28th, so very soon we shall have some new bright shiny recordings to show you all.

And maybe if we can figure out how to do it, we'll try and make this blog look a little nicer.

Welcome to Quarks blog

Hello.

We're a band from Melbourne called Quarks.  We were previously known as The New Caledonia, but after a change in mindset and direction, and the addition of a keys player, we've decided to rename ourselves Quarks.

We'll be using this blog as an update on the band, adding news when it happens and shows when they're happening.  We'll also put up our recordings to download as we do them.  Maybe we'll even put up some hot glamour photos of the band in lingerie.

So.

Our first shows are next month, starting with July 9th at the Espy with The Beautiful Burn, a most excellent band from Melbourne also, and good friends of ours.  Then we're playing on July 25th at Miss Libertines, as part of Clean Young Mess, which is featuring The Gallant, Foxx On Fire and Quarks.

We're also heading into the studio to record some new songs in the coming weeks, which we will release to the internet as soon as they're done.
